The A1M Vader takes the modular design of our A1Mbot and turns it into a true multi-platform VR gunstock. Built for fast setup, precise aiming and smooth in-game control, interchangeable controller docks let you use the same stock across Steam Frame, Sony PSVR2, Meta Quest 3/3S, Quest Pro, Quest 2, Pico 4 Ultra and Pimax.

The Vader name will already be familiar to PSVR2 players. Our original Vader was one of the first gunstocks we designed specifically for PSVR2, but the A1M Vader is something very different. Rather than simply updating the old design, we've brought the Vader name onto the newer A1M platform — with far more adjustment, modular front and rear systems, and compatibility that goes well beyond PSVR2.

For PSVR2 players this also means a new way to play. The new Front Grab lets you physically grab and release the front controller rather than having it magnetically attached. Grab it for stable ADS, let go when you need your hand free, then grab straight back on when you need it. If you prefer the traditional controller-mounted setup, you can run it that way too.

And for Steam Frame, we're not claiming compatibility from measurements or controller renders. We've had the real hardware in our hands and have tested the A1M Vader with Steam Frame controllers in-game. We know it works because we've used it.

Whatever loadout you're running — rifle, MG, SMG, pistol, bolt-action, pump-action or anything in between — and whatever supported headset you're using, the A1M Vader stays responsive and intuitive. Loot, bandage, reload, grab a door or switch weapons without fighting your gunstock, then get straight back into stable ADS.

One VR Gunstock. Multiple Headsets.

The A1M Vader uses interchangeable controller docks, each designed specifically around the controller it supports for a snug, reliable fit.

Change headset? Swap the docks, not the stock.

Currently supported:

  • Steam Frame
  • Sony PSVR2
  • Meta Quest 3 / 3S
  • Meta Quest Pro
  • Meta Quest 2
  • Pico 4 Ultra
  • Pimax

Additional controller docks are available separately, so if you own more than one headset — or change headset later — you don't need to buy another complete gunstock.

PSVR2 Gunstock – A New Take on Vader

The original Vader was built around PSVR2. The A1M Vader keeps that connection, but the way it works is completely different.

There is considerably more adjustment throughout the stock, letting you tune controller position, length and angle to suit your setup rather than working around a fixed geometry.

The biggest change is the new Front Grab.

Instead of locking the front Sense controller into a magnetic dock the Front Grab lets you naturally grab the front controller when you need it and simply let go when you don't. It makes weapon interactions, reloads and general VR interactions much more fluid while still giving you a physical reference point when you come back into ADS.

Prefer the original style of having the controller magnetically attached to the stock? You can do that too.

The pistol style rear dock includes a grip toggle switch for PSVR2 users.

Steam Frame Gunstock – Tested, Not Assumed

Steam Frame compatibility isn't something we've added to a list because the dimensions looked about right.

We've had access to Steam Frame hardware and tested the A1M Vader with the actual controllers, including in-game testing.

The Steam Frame controller docks have therefore been developed around the real thing.

When we say Steam Frame compatible, we know it is.

Front-End: Built for Modern VR Interactions

The A1M Vader's modular front end can be configured depending on the game and the way you prefer to play.

You can run it three ways:

  • Front Grip — traditional rifle handling
  • Pump-Action Grab — smooth shotgun cycling
  • Magnetic Adjustment Ring — with front angular adjustment

All front modules also include front length adjustment for players who like their micro-tuning.

The system is designed to give you a solid physical reference when aiming without getting in the way every time VR asks you to actually do something with your hands.

Rear Controller: Your Call

The rear controller sits in a pistol-style grip with natural alignment and a Colt 1911-style textured grip.

You can also ditch the rear stock entirely and run the A1M Vader as a compact, manoeuvrable pistol-carbine hybrid — great for CQB, tight rooms, seated play and particularly good when paired with the Virtual Gunstock option available in many games.

Two Rear Stock Systems – Swappable in Seconds

You can pair the A1M Vader with:

1. SpeedBall System – Ultralight Contact Point

A micro-stock you can place anywhere on your body — chest, shoulder, neck or cheek.

  • Push-button length adjust
  • Lateral angle adjust with SpeedLock
  • Locks solid or pops off magnetically
  • Excellent for use with Virtual Gunstock enabled play
  • Doubles as a monopod for seated stability
  • Ideal for low-profile setups
  • Works for opposite-eye-dominant players

2. Full Rear Stock – Larger, More Traditional

For players who prefer a full rifle feel:

  • Push-button length adjust
  • Friction rotation for a comfortable shoulder fit
  • Padded cheek riser — friction adjust or fully locked
  • Magnetic quick-detach or locked in place
  • SpeedLock lateral angle adjust

Swap between the two depending on the game, the class you're running, the headset you're using, or whether you're playing standing, seated, or slouched on the sofa pretending not to sweat.

Why the A1M Vader?

  • One stock, multiple VR platforms
  • Interchangeable controller docks
  • New Front Grab option for PSVR2
  • Steam Frame tested with actual hardware
  • Far more adjustable than the original Vader
  • Zero sensor occlusion
  • Works brilliantly with Virtual Gunstock ON in supported games
  • Fast transitions between rifle, pistol, pump and free-hand interactions
  • Modular front and rear configurations
  • Additional headset docks available separately

The A1M Vader is built for players who don't want their gunstock deciding which headset they use or how they play. Set it up your way, swap what you need, and once you're on target it stays dead-still where it counts.

Materials & Manufacturing

A1mBot is built from high-performance engineering polymers with a lightweight aluminium core. Each material is used where it makes sense — from custom neodymium magnets to purpose-specified springs for a consistent, reliable feel.

  • High-Performance Polymers
Used for durability and impact resistance during regular use.
  • Aluminium Core
Adds rigidity without unnecessary weight, helping maintain alignment to minimise flex.
  • Custom Magnetics
Set up for reliable retention that releases cleanly when needed.

Manufacturing

Each stock is 3D printed and assembled by hand.

As with all 3D-printed parts, minor surface variations can be present. These are cosmetic only and don’t affect fit, strength, or performance.

We keep build standards consistent across all units. If a component changes due to design updates or availability, any replacement will meet the same functional requirements.
